Firebox/Firepod Latency

Does anyone know if I should experience latency when recording over previously recorded tracks using a firebox/firepod?

I have heard a lot of talk regarding this and I was wondering if
1)This is true?
2)If it is true, how to get around this problem.

According to specs, you shouldn't have latency when using the Firepod unit. There is a mix control you can use.

With FireBox, I don't know... they don't talk about latency at all

I definately will when I purchase one, although I was trying to not purchase it if it had those issues.
