Does anyone know of a stand alone transport control either USB, Firewire or serial (no pre's or mixer built in) for a reasonable price. I just need it to start and stop recording from my drum kit. Running from the PC to the drums, playing then running back to start and stop recording just isn't working. ANY suggestions would be appreciated I'm getting worn out.

Hi David, I didn't consider the wireless KB because of the distance from the PC, 25 ft. (line of sight) Logitech says 6 ft. max. I'll have to reconsider that though, that would be the best option if I can make it work. Has anyone made one work at that distance? I have considered the laptop/wireless option as my home has both a wired and wireless LAN and I have an AP right in the room and XP on all machines. I was trying to avoid this solution as my laptop is used in my job every day and a mishap with it could be a real disaster if you know what I mean. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll have to try the KB tonight.
