Hi,
Has anyone had the opportunity to test the VG99 against the Pod Xt Pro?

Certainly VG99 has much more editable parameter data, creation of models and so. But what about "tone" quality?

I saw the Demo video of the VG99 (fine) and listen to Pod XT Pro demoes at line6 web site.
I think the the XT Pro additional model packs they sell at the site to be reasonable.

Also, as the XT live is a newer product, it comes with a factory bundled additional bank.

THe XT Pro has more connection options (digital etc) and the XT live comes with the footswitch.

In fact I am a little bored with Amp Farm sound, but I am using an older version which must have lesser models than the HD Accel version.

Any opinions?

Thanks again

I have just purchased the VG99, I also have a Toneport UX2 and have owned many Line 6 products over the years including POD, PODXT and Flextone III. I have tried the entire range of Line 6 products including the first modeling amps right up to the flagship Vetta models.

I have been interested in modeled amps and guitars for years and have, until now, never been prompted to buy either the Variax or the new fender VG, I have tried them all. Till now, I bought the VG99, I was so impressed with the sounds. I have just scratched the surface of the sounds and capabilities of this device and pland to use it both live and in the studio, I installed the GK3 on my Steve Morse y2k fixed bridge and find the tracking to be exceptional, I found the tracking on previous models to be lacking. It has a vast compliment of I/O including digital, balanced XLR, unbalanced and headphone.
