Of these three sequencers, I see many complainings about the first two, for uncompatibility with drivers, for a bug somewhere, for this and that etc... almost never do we see the same things with DP...
Does that mean that DP users are really few ? a happy few then ? :lol: Or is it because DP is more taken care of when produced ?
As for me I am a happy DP user since 3 yrs, and never had a problem whatsosever ... at least nothing important ! :)

I used DP for 5 years, I loved it, Its very solid and sounds good (not many crashes) . The only thing I didn't like was the plugins stunk. I did most of my processing before the signal made it to DP. I had to switch to PT for client reasons. Everybody has it, and in order to facilitate more work for myself, I had to get it. I have been very happy with PT, but I do miss a lot of the features in DP.

As I have said at least a thousand times, pick the platform that is the most comfortable for you, your situation and your budget. In order to learn PT I got a PT LE system (DIGI002) since every major studio and most of the "big" project studios I walked into had Pro Tools; if I wanted to work I had no choice but to know it and know it well. I still use DP quite a bit for my sound design work, the MIDI functions and implementation are superb. In fact, I have been using Performer since I had a Mac Quadra 605 with 8megs/RAM and a 40meg hard drive running Performer 2.1. At the time the system was SOTA, the freakin' bomb!

and yes, i do think that DP is a very solid, stable and allaround good developed software, i personally like it after logic the most.
maybbe DP users are kinda rare, because most "pure" recording people use PT or if you are massive into midi and composing music with your DAW then the flagship logic, it is defenitely in terms of midi the king apps, there is nothing what comes close to it, or you are lost and you have to use cubase on PC.
