I am currently using FL Studio 5 and Cubase as my workstation software. My dad just bought me Adobe Audition 1.5 for my birthday. Is this a beneficial program for me considering the ones I am already using, (is it a value-add) or can these already do everything Adobe can do as well?
Opinions?

If you do any heavy editing you may find Audition very useful.
If you do any heavy editing you may find Audition very useful. You may also find some of it's built in processing useful to you. If you're used to Cubase you probably won't like Audition for mixing or tracking. Audition, formerly Cool Edit Pro, has it's roots in a good, strong, inexpensive editor. It shines in that area. It's still pretty popular in broadcast circles for that reason. Don't get me wrong, I like it and use it. It sounds great. But the mix interface is not as well layed out as other packages and tracking with it can be a bit cumbersome. Since it was a gift, what have you got to lose. Spend some time playing with it. It can't hurt to have another tool in your arsenal.

I have used all three and I don't think that Audition will be of any use to you. Cubase (if you're speaking of SX 2 or 3) is a prettly nice app.
