I recently tried an experiment with an older version of the c 414 but not sure which one it was as I was in a student studio here in london and was pleased with the results,it was all black ? not like the new one's but how do they compare when Micing high gain guitar amps compared to say a SM57? What I'm trying to achieve is a good all round dynamic sound with good saturation (over drive) presence.
