I was all set to go with a digi 002 setup until someone kindly expressed I might be better off overall looking into an Apogeeensemble with logic pro

i'm running on a powerbook and this setup is optimized for macs, and apparently will not tie up the cpu anywhere as much as much as pro tools will

oh, and that Apogee converters are supposed to be some of the best on the market.

I played around with logic at a mac store today and I felt fairly comfortable on it within 30 minutes or so (although i know garage band pretty well). I'm just interested to hear how it is for working with audio tracks instead of midi which it seems to be primarily designed for.

Anyone do primarily audio tracking while running the ensemble as your interface, and logic pro as your daw? what do you think?
