Hi All, Got a weird question here; The Audigy allows EAX FX (in this case reverb on the line in) but it automatically mutes the line in when I open the record dialog in Acid Pro 5. This necessitates opening the mixer, muting and then unmuting the line in every time I record a track so I can monitor input wet- pain in the butt.

What would be really nice is if Acid or whatever, would NOT mute the input as hearing the source is what I'm lookin' for here and in this case with reverb.

Sounds simple enough to me.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

i dunno if this makes any sense or is complete babble but if its possible, using the audigy mixer HQ, set the record input to the specific input; line-in or spdif or wateva ur using (not the 'what you hear' setting) and if you could somehow apply the EAX FX to just the output then it might work. thats if the EAX FX is what is causing Acid to automatically mute the input and the FX were merely for monitoring. sorry if this is no help and makes no sense. if you really want to monitor the input with the EAS FX applied and not record the effects and it really dosn't work then set the record function to the specific line in and use another third party effects processing program/unit seperate from the actual recording, there are load of cheap ones which arent bad, mainly for guitar though.
