Hello forum!

First let me say that I'm very excited that this forum exists. After trolling a little bit I can see that the moderators and many users here are exceptionally well-informed, and I can't wait to begin the dialogue with other musicians who are trying to record well to help each other get the exact sound we want.

I hate to invoke this as my first question, but could I ask you, forum, to respond in 4-5 sentences, Pro Tools vs Logic, and why? I used pro tools for almost 4 years through college, and found the interface a bit cumbersome, but I was able to do what I wanted. I've used Logic since graduation a year ago, and the interface was much nicer, but then it sort of crapped out on us and stopped putting sound through the monitors on our mbox 2, mini.

Basically, I have the option to build, from scratch, a audio station that is going to be easy to move files to and from a studio, that is going to give me the ease in making electronic/pop/indie/weirdpop/noisy stuff music, that's going to be COMPATIBLE with the computer, monitors, microphones, inputs, etc., and most of all just delivers a great end result.

I don't need pages and pages, I just need peoples opinions who are using both right now in their recording. Also, if you use something else (sonar?, fruityloops? I'm not sure of all these other ones? Garageband? lol).

Also, answers to questions like, if I'm giong to stay with Logic/Mac, what sort of input/monitors would you recommend? If I stay with PC/Protools, what is the midlevel upgrade to the mbox mini?

Thanks in advance guys.
