This looks like it should work. I would certainly consider upgrading to PT9 or PT10 in order to use a better interface and 64 bit drivers. Now that the door is open even hardcore PT lovers are admitting that the LE series interfaces are not all they should be especially regarding the analog sections of same devices.

Well, not that I can see. I would go with 8gb ram on a 64bit machine to prevent having to upgrade later when you hear what a better interface can do for you. Also, the resale value of all LE devices is going down fairly these days as PT11 anticipation and HD Native grows. To be sure they will still work but their only draw was not functionality but to be able to use PT8 and prior.

Well, I can't recommend it. It breaches the EULA. You can imagine what would happen if Apple got wind of it if this site is recommending the use of Hackintosh's. Not good. Do what you want but if you want to use OSX (OS is just short for Operating System), buy a Mac. You can have a Macbook for around $1200. Many music stores will finance with a decent down payment and they will finance just about anyone. We are talking about musicians here.

I would recommend that you use your new computer with Windows XP Pro, 32-bit version. It will be faster & peppier while still being quite compatible with most everything. Not that there is anything wrong with Windows 7 with proper 64-bit oriented software & 64-bit drivers. You're only dislike is not understanding how to configure your computer properly regardless of operating system utilized. Come on, you're supposed to be a smart guy if you're living in Israel, right? I'm not smart enough to go to Israel because I'm too scared to go to Israel. I don't feel like taking a vacation in a war zone country. Heck, I won't even go back to Mexico anymore and I can drive there.

Ammm... u r wrong about the war zone thing u should come and visit April-June time. i can tell u that for sure that u will enjoy it.
About the 33 bit there is a big memory issue and in 64 bit there is no driver for my 003 so i can't work with Cubase as eell. so i went to my idea after not be able to sell the 003 and i wanted to replace it with FireFace 800.
But thanks again for ur advice.
U can check in google about Israel sites lot to see...
And in israel Mac is just to expencive... :'(
