Hi Everybody!

I've been lurking for a while here, but now I've registered and joined the fray. I'm a video, audio and DVD producer, and also a drummer - go ahead and hit me with the drummer jokes - I can take it! :

I'm working on a guitar project currently and am curious as to how you folks would choose to pan the guitars. Most of the tracks consist of two acoustic guitars. I have recorded each of them in stereo. So far I have achieved a nice sound with panning the "lead" guitar full L and R, with the rhythm guitar panned about 9 and 3 o'clock. I've also tried putting the rhythm guitar right down the center. On a previous project, I also had good results with panning one guitar about 9 o'clock and the other about 3 o'clock. That project was more about two players trading off leads, though, so that seemed to suit the songs better. Ultimately I know my ears will be the final judge (along with the guitar player, of course!), but would appreciate any comments, suggestions from the esteemed RO crew.

(FWIW, Yamaha 4416 multitrack, recording with Audio-Technica 4047 near the sound hole, an Oktava MC-012 pointed at the 12th fret, Blue Mouse -what a mic! - for vocals on a couple of tracks.)
