Midi Piano

I have recently purchased an m-audio keystation 88es keyboard, with the intention of taking up piano again. Now all i need is a decent piece of software with which to use it. Can anyone recommend me a program that delivers nice piano tones (and possibly a bit of Van Halen style square wave action), and is capable of handling the full 88 key midi input?

Cheers
Rich

acid software

Hi there, congrats on the nice set of keys.

if I read the specs right it is USB ready.

There is a site called acidplanet.com
in there tool section Sony has a free recording program so that you can get hooked on recording like the rest of us did. LOL
here.
its call acid express
http://dspcdn.acidplanet.com/acidxpress.exe

as an indie musician I would encorage you to join and get a site like mine.
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?songs=260316&T=3214

then we can share with each other and thousands more like
mark and Collin here
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?AID=108411&t=5102

You will always need to come back to the recording forums and ask your questions and let us know how your doing.
If you e-mail me I will send you some more sites for posting you music but i think I have mentioned enough as they do not pay for the free advertising. LOL :D

i think it's the best piano you'll get for free.
Cheers I'll have a look at that. How about stuff that isn't free though? I'm prepared to spend a bit to get a reasonably nice sounding setup.
