Okay, this is a really beginner question but here it is:

I'm going to be purchasing either a Behringer MX9000 or SL2442FX Pro, both which are unpowered mixers. I would like to run this mixer into 2 PreSonus FirePods (FireWire preamps) into my computer and then into Cubase. Is this going to work? The reason I am running through a mixer first is so I can have better control over my outboard gear (mostly compressors).

Is there a better way I could be doing this or am I on the right track. Let me know if what I'm asking is confusing.

Thanks! :)

yeah i knew about the daisy chaining already, but I wanna make sure that everything will work properly running from an unpowered mixer to my preamps which are really just a link into my computer.

That lawsuit was settled in 1999 but the terms were not released. A previous ruling by a judge was that Behringer had not violated patents. Behringer also made changes to their products to come into compliance. Still, many people are upset over the way Behringer treated Mackie.

Part of the problem is that many Behringer products are low-end and weak performance with pre-amps, etc. Some of the more expensive items are OK.

Over on another board, the mx9000 got quite a good review: [="http://www.tweakheadz.com/review_of_the_behringer_mx9000.htm"] here for the review[/]="http://www.tweakhea…"] here for the review[/] and [[url=http://="http://studio-centr…"] here for discussion[/]="http://studio-centr…"] here for discussion[/].
