Hi All,
Recording a keyboard is all new to me. I'm just have a small home recording setup. I'm might buy a Casio WK3200, it just has a headphone output though.
So the question is...can I use the headphone output as a 'line in' to my recorder ? I have a Zoom MRS1608 which has a 'line in'.
According to the Casio manual the headphone output is 200 ohms 5.5V.
Excuse me if this is a silly beginner's question, as I'm still in the learning process on the techical end of recording. Thanks.

What do you mean by it is not ideal.....
Also, the next model up is a Casio WK3700, but it cost $100 more, it does have an actual line out though, rated at 3k ohm 1.5V, other than the actual line out, there is nothing in the upper model that I'd want do I spend the extra ? See my dilema... does it even matter ? ?

He meant it wasn't ideal from the standpoint of, it's a "headphone output". Generally those outputs have a little more noise to them. Still completely fine for your application. Suitable patch cords and adapters are available at your music store or Radio Shaft.
