I have a Samson C01U USB microphone on my new Vista OS. The microphone works, but no matter what settings I try, there is always a very audible 'hum' in the recording. I've tried recording with both the default sound recorder and Adobe Audition 3.

It used to work fine when I had Windows XP and the Softpre driver, but with Vista the Softpre driver is not required (and doesn't work anyways). Vista automatically installs a driver for the mic. I'm hoping someone else has had a similar problem and has found a fix... this is driving me nuts.
