Can someone help me out. I've read the manual inside out on my Alesis DMPro, Drumagog, Cubase SX, and my FW1884. What I want to do is replace my recorded kick with a kick in my Alesis. It won't work not mattter what I do. I have in to out and out to in with Midi cable between my FW1884 and the Alesis. I load up Drumagog on the insert of the recorded kick and nothing. I tinkered with the midi settings in both Drumagog and the Alesis...still nothing. It's showing on the display on my Alesis that something it happening on channel 1, but nothing comes out. Help ME!

Hi,
if you are trying to replace an anolog recorded kick drum with a sound from the Alesis then the method would be to send the analog signal of your recorded kick into the kick trigger of the alesis then take the sound of alesis into the pc.

pc line out of recorded kick -> alesis kick trigger
alesis line out -> pc line in

If you are trying to turn a midi record kick into an alesis analog sound then:
pc midi -> alesis midi
alesis line out -> pc line in

remeber to send the midi out on the same chanel the alesis is listening to. The conventional chanel for drums tends to be chanel 10.

I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Gerrit.
