any blue-tooth wireless keyboard/mouse would do the same thing (also with a 30 foot range) ...plus give you lots more options (with a full keyboard vs the few buttons on the tranzport) - for quite a bit less than $200... but the tranzport is smaller. i don't think they're actually available yet though - so you might have a hard time getting opinions on them.

ive been loking at thise for the past year almost, and it affers way more options then any wireless mouse/keyboard. it has the ability to change track volumes and edit other paramiters on a per track basis, also it has a led screen that makes it far more usefull, and a hell of a lot less cumbersome.

frob...exactly you pointed the right option...
I will definitly buy it..cuz i normaly when i record my own voice i have to set the mic in the control room... finally i can take that device in the booth and control the software from there... its really kool.... plus after the final mix i have an habbit of checking the sound from different part of my control room...i can do some balance from there as well...if i need to obsereve something for a while and can turn it back to normal to hear the difference i don't have to run back and forth again n again...
