I wrote and recorded the attached track over the last week. Before going live with it, I'm wondering what people think here. Do the lead guitar parts sit ok? I'm worried I've mixed a few of them too loudly..

Hey people. It's been a while. I used to post here a lot back when I was full time in the industry. I'm trying to get back into recording a little bit. It would be great to reconnect with ya'll again. I downloaded a new DAW today and fired up a Scarlett interface that I had laying around. I can't get it to work right. When I record I get this weird electrical sound.

I'm installing a wood stove in a recording room and I'm concerned about sound coming in from the chimney.  Any suggestions for dealing with this?

There is a consistent noise source nearby which, so far, I have dealt with relatively successfully with window/door plugs.  The stove would open a 6" channel from the room, through the ceiling/attic, and through the roof.

Just wondering if you guys use the auto save function in your daw. I previously haven't but am considering it for the new setup.

If you are using it, how often do you have it save a backup? 

Alsp how many backups do have have it set to store, before it overwrites the oldest one?

Hi all. I have a question regarding the QY300 sequencer. I just purchased one and can't find any information in the manual about hooking up various keyboards, so as to control them individually from the QY. There seems to be nothing in the manual regarding this. So how do I set it all up to record midi channels and play them back without having to listen to the QY's internal synth?

I have a friend who is severely deaf, but a sound lecturer in a university - we chatted after watching the Queen's Jubilee concert from Buckingham Palace. We were talking about the huge numbers of wireless channels for microphones, guitars and then the fact that everyone (bar one) of the performers were using IEMs.
