recording from audiobox vsl

Hi, I have to record something live and I want to record my mix coming directly from my audiobox software. I have 2 tracks (voice and guitar) and have set all my fx, fat channel and everything and I'm happy with what I hear. I work with studio one of course. Is there's a way to record in a track in studio one what I hear in the audio box directly? Thanks

Need vocal mic advice for tenor (progressive rock)

Forums

Hello all. I'm new here and would appreciate any professional advice.

I'm a Tenor vocalist most recently with the progressive rock group, Stride. I've got an individual who has decided to fund some equipment for a new album I'm working on, and considering I'm going to need a couple of good preamps, and AD/DA, it's got my budget a little tight.

#10 AWG (2 conductor) vs. #12 AWG (4 conductor) Speaker Wire

Hey guys, I'm doing some wiring specs (exciting right ? Lol) and I'm completely unsure of what to go with.

It's speaker wire for a cinema setup. The surrounds, and the Screen Channel speakers accept up to 10awg wire with barrier strip screw terminals. The reference speakers and subs are on speakin NL-8 connectors which accept up to 12awg wire.

Deciding on a Daw/Preamp

I am a beginner artist and am looking to get a good recording set up. Right now, I have an at2035 and a guitar with a built in pickup. All I need is a dual channel Preamp, Ive been looking at the Mackie BlackJack Onyx and PreSonus Audiobox 2x2 USB. The only requirements are, I can hook up my guitar, my mic, it can connect to my windows PC, and is under 150 bucks.

Radial JD7 vs A/B's and DI's Individually

I'm interested in the DI/Reamping options that are out there for studio recording. The Jd7 seems to do it all with a 1k asking price. The alternative is about $700 bucks and would comprise of an a/b for the two guitars into a direct box and an amp splitter for live tracking. Then a reamamp box into the amp splitter for re amping.
