Folk/Rock Song "Better" suggestions for mix improvement
Hey everyone,
#10 AWG (2 conductor) vs. . #12 AWG (4 conductor) Speaker Wire
Hey guys, I'm doing some wiring specs (exciting right ? Lol) and I'm completely unsure of what to go with.
It's speaker wire for a cinema setup. The surrounds, and the Screen Channel speakers accept up to 10awg wire with barrier strip screw terminals. The reference speakers and subs are on speakin NL-8 connectors which accept up to 12awg wire.
A studio I re-built and work at just had #3 hit!
I'm super excited. After 30 years Phil still has it! One of the studios I work at and rebuilt from the studs out just had a number 3 hit on the billboard hit singles. I didn't do any work on the song since I was busy with other gigs, but it's cool to be even remotely a part of it.

Deciding on a Daw/Preamp
I am a beginner artist and am looking to get a good recording set up. Right now, I have an at2035 and a guitar with a built in pickup. All I need is a dual channel Preamp, Ive been looking at the Mackie BlackJack Onyx and PreSonus Audiobox 2x2 USB. The only requirements are, I can hook up my guitar, my mic, it can connect to my windows PC, and is under 150 bucks.

Metal EP - First Rough Mix
Dear all,
My band is working on a self-recorded, mixed and mastered EP. Here is the first rough mix of the first track. Critique is highly appreciated - no obections to brutal honesty either!

Radial JD7 vs. A/B's and DI's Individually
I'm interested in the DI/Reamping options that are out there for studio recording. The Jd7 seems to do it all with a 1k asking price. The alternative is about $700 bucks and would comprise of an a/b for the two guitars into a direct box and an amp splitter for live tracking. Then a reamamp box into the amp splitter for re amping.

Mic for home recording covers - different genres
Hey guys, I need a mic for my home studio as I'm starting recording covers - different genres (pop, rock, metal, country, jazz).
I've been researching and two mics are my Top 2 choices - MXL v67 and sE X1.
I already own SM57 and have an idea of using both SM57 and that new mic I buy for recording covers.
