I've been do my own recording in my basement with some complete crap equipement (a tube preamp, 4 channel mixer, sm-57, large diaphragm condenser mic, 4 other dynamic mics), and a laptop. My budget is severly limited (university student here).

OK...so I admit it...I am a guitar player, not a keyboardist! I do have a Yamaha digital piano with a midi setup that I use to control VSTi's. I keep thinking that I need to get a synth or maybe just a synth module (until I can afford the whole new keyboard).

i haven't seen a post since 8/26, just a test 2 see if the board is working. .

I just wiped out my playlists by using "utility" function, thinking it would be on the "audio file", but it seems I may have wiped that out as well!

If this is true, I am sunk! I had some direct recorded material that went only to the Masterlink.

I'm currently working on project that has that country rock feel to it. I'd like to be able to get a "Nashville" type sound for the mix. I'm having a little trouble getting that controlled, without sounding overcompressed, sound that these type of productions generally have.

Hi guys..and Gals if there's any in here.

When Steinberg ships SX for Mac my intent is to get rid of the old AHB console and patchbay and take the Dual 1.25Ghz G4 plunge.

I will be wanting to get a new AD/DA setup happening and maintain ADAT connectivity.
