Can you help?

i got a final mix handed to me. I am a little worry that something is out of phase.

Is there a way for me to check if the stereo file I got is in phase, using protool.
cause I don't have anything esle to use for checking

i'm looking at getting a pair of AM52's because they are only $199 a piece right now at musicians friend. i want a pair of mics with switchable patterns. i'm going to mainly use them for recording string quartets, vocals, other acoustic combos. price does matter, so please don't suggest i go get a C12 or something like that. thanks.

I'm pretty new to this hi-res digital audio thing so please bear with me:

A guy wants to send me a song to have me master it for him. He says that he will send it to me on a CD-R as a 32-bit float .wav file. I will be using Sonic Foundry Vegas 3.0 to master - it supports 24/96 as well as does my soundcard (DAL CardDeluxe).

I don't think this is the board w/audio and USB2.0. You may want to check, from what I remember, the board you stated is USB 1.1, and has no on-board audio. I believe you need just the Asus P4B266(don't know about all the revisions out there).

I just got me one of these silver beauties and it sounds wonderful.
However, I'm having an issue with it's rear stereo inputs. When I plug my synth into them, there is very little gain going into the Penta.
Even with the Input Gain knob turned all the way up and the synth's volume at max, I can barely get to meters to blink past -20!
