No Sound in Cubase

This is really weird, but for some reason I have lost sound playback on one of my Cubase projects. All of the other ones play back just fine, but this particular one is frustrating the heck out of me. (It is the RO remix project). This thing used to play back fine when I first imported all the files...now...nothing!

Sis chipset= SISSY?

My cohort in crime just bought...without looking around (moron) an EBay special. What I know is this: P4 1.6 socket 478, 400w power supply, case, and the mobo is a ECS P4 S5A. Here's the specs:
SiS645 & SiS961 Chipset
Socket 478 for Pentium 4
Support 2SDRAM + 2DDR (supports DDR 333 (PC2700)
UltraDMA 66/100
AC97 Audio Codec on board

z-Q2 Digital EQ

Is anybody familiar with the z-systems z-Q2? It claims to be a mastering EQ (and has a corresponding price tag) so I thought this might be the place to ask. I specifically wondered about the M/S encode-decode function, which changes it from applying EQ to the L & R channels, to applying it to mid and side. Is this a common mastering function?

Opus, is there such a thing. .

Opus, is there such a thing as a PCI card extender? What I want to do is, break into the cable before the extended slot, and feed a discrete power source to whatever is in the slot, to isolate it from spurious voltages. The DC power rails are noisy, even with the best power supplies and mobo's. Also, I'd like to put the sound cards in thier own metal enclosed box.
