OK who makes this?
I need to buy a line driver thing that will go from -10 TS to 4+ XLR. I've seen a bunch that are TS to TRS or RCA to XLR or RCA to TRS but it would be REALLY nice to not have to resolder all my cables. Oh yeah I need 8 channels.

"De-Lisper"?
I am in process of recording a very talented female vocalist who has a bit of lisp. I know there must be a way to deal with it, but I am clueless. I am assuming that it must be similar to dealing with sibilance, and maybe the use of a De-Esser...but I am also clueless as to how to use a De-Esser (I know it is basically a notch filter).

studio monitors
Hey y'all. Just popped over from the computer side of things. Got that in order, now onto the REAL stuff. First order: My buddie and I are in the stage of having fun now, using computers, and live recording only vocals and guitars. Rest DI or digital. Hip Hop / Rock interbreed stuff. Really, 2 white collar college friends trying to find our urban old-skool roots.

Uh oh
I tried the Davec test and got 21 tracks, but then I actually recorded a sixteen track, five minute song. Later I added 4 plugins over seven vocal tracks, but anymore plugins than that and my CPU monitor goes into the red. Is it time to get that new hardware we talked about?

Pop screens and high frequency loss.
Is there any validity to high frequency loss during vocal recording with the use of store bought pop screens?. I have been reading a thread on another site and these guys SWEAR there is a marked difference. Using my son as a variable "hissing machine" for starters, I did a with/without, and honestly heard no difference. I have fairly well trained antennae.

Pro Tools OMF from Final cut pro...
Can anyone expand on this subject? Here's my issue.. I've created an OMF from Final Cut Pro and imported it into Pro Tools v5.0 to hammer out the audio. The Orig. Quicktime files that the video person used to make his Final Cut project were 29.97fps and his Final Cut movie is 29.97drop. Make any sense? Well, the way Pro Tools works into the equation is obvious.

VF-08
Just wanted to put up this post. I just bought a used VF-08. Haven't done much with it yet. I know in some people's eyes, it may not be the best thing to get, but I think I did good in getting it. I got it for about the price of an analog four track. $280 USD, so I can't complain.
