Why is it?
That when I first start the recording process, in Acid. . I get this 6db "noise"? It happens everytime.

I found a "workaround" by copying the name of the track. Starting the recording. . Canceling it and then restarting it, under the same name. Fixes it every time. :)
And, actually, this isn't much of a problem.

Just installed the public beta version of Waves 3.2.1 MAS Automation and the Ren Reverb 3.2.1. (currently running DP 2.72 on iMac DV 400 MHz, MacOS 9.03, 512M RAM)

Didn't want to post anything to throw that thread out of whack, but I'll say this for it. At the VERY least, it shows where people's heads are. Interesting indeed.

I take it, Mix, that this is what you intended on doing? I mean, the answer isn't important as what the answer shows about the person answering, right?

Hope I passed the audition.

I've just finished my CD. It sounds good and local radio stations are playing my music. What do I do next? I would like to send my music out to labels, do I need representation - hire an entertainment lawyer?

Any suggestions are most welcome.

I have been doing home recording for some years now. I started with 2 reel to reels, moved to 4 track and now use a PC. I have accumulated a fair amount of "OK" software and equipment - good enough for my less than perfect ears.

Does anybody have a copy or know someone who has a copy of turbosynth sc they would sell me?

When looking to buy a C414, are the vintage ones the only mics worth their beans or are the newbies just as good.

I just got a new MAC G4 733 .. :-)
What dual monitor cards work well with this computer? The computer store I bought it from sells the ATI Radeon, but nothing else. Is this one any good?
Any recomendations?

What is the average rate for mastering? Do you charge for Hard drive space as well as hours? What expenses do you incure that you need to charge for etc etc...I just mastered a Spanish Church band for a friend and it came out awesome!
