MicrophoneMan's Mixer-o-Choice Top-10
Since people really weren't up for talking about what they felt about their summing bus - lets talk about the whole damn desk - as the musical instrument that could be considered the most important thing in the room (although monitors are the only thing you actually hear, so they get #1 - along with the use of them acoustically), but anyways..

Will this computer work well for Cubase or Digi001?
Hi All!
question for Opus
Hello Opus. I am wondering if you had a chance to compare the converters on the 4416 to some of the external converters out there. Is there anything you can recommend as being consiberably better? Anything that is not really much of an improvement? Anything definitely worse?

need multitrack recording software suggestions
hey all-
I've been a Cool Edit Pro user for quite a while and finally I am fed up with the mix interface (i.e. no mixer), plus there's really no real-time processing - you basically have to bounce any audio through whatever fx...but I still love the general processing power of CEP  .
Do Distressors link up for a good mix bus compressor?
Do they stay together well?
foot switch for live mics?
Dumb questions are allowed in the beginner's forum, right? :D
Anybody seen, used or built something like this? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Bye Bye NS-10's
I'm sure some of you guys have heard that Yamaha announced the end of NS-10 production, citing a difficulty in getting the proper wood pulp for the woofer, yeah whatever.
Any NS-10 dudes out there nervous? Stashing those woofers and tweeters away like a buddy I know with cases of "Old" Coca Cola? Lookin for something else to replace em?
