Hello Opus. I am wondering if you had a chance to compare the converters on the 4416 to some of the external converters out there. Is there anything you can recommend as being consiberably better? Anything that is not really much of an improvement? Anything definitely worse?

Has anyone tried those products?

I've been a Cool Edit Pro user for quite a while and finally I am fed up with the mix interface (i.e. no mixer), plus there's really no real-time processing - you basically have to bounce any audio through whatever fx...but I still love the general processing power of CEP :cool: .

Do they stay together well?

Dumb questions are allowed in the beginner's forum, right? :D

Anybody seen, used or built something like this? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I've got a 220v power supply for a valve mic and need to find a transformer to use it here in the U.S. -- little help please? much obliged... :cool:

This is my first post to these forums, but I’ve been lurking for a while. You guys have posted some great information for both seasoned vets and budding novices. I think anyone who takes the time to enhance his or her craft should visit on a regular basis.

I'm sure some of you guys have heard that Yamaha announced the end of NS-10 production, citing a difficulty in getting the proper wood pulp for the woofer, yeah whatever.
Any NS-10 dudes out there nervous? Stashing those woofers and tweeters away like a buddy I know with cases of "Old" Coca Cola? Lookin for something else to replace em?
