Where and in which kind of projects have you guys been using linear phase eqs?
Are you fans of Weiss digital eq?
What other brands have been doing it nicely also?

What about the myth of Waves Linear Phase? some say it is a nice tool to add hi shelf, some say it sounds a little funny in the high mids...

What you think of the C4?
I used to work with other stuff but I'm about to check some other stuff.
For example the C4 and the other Waves Stuff Ren.Eq etc.
The 1176 from the Bomb Factory and of course the L2 (hardware)

I'm new to vinyl mastering and just trying to find my feet!

problem is when try to cut sometimes it skips, and other times it won't skip but the then the cut will not sound very good at all!

do you think I'm trying to cut too loud?

I'm trying to cut at @ 4 to 6db with a 100-120 um width and about 60-70 um land.

I am finishing a CD and will be sending it off to be mastered . there are 10 songs and it will probably be getting considerable local radio play. Do I need to insert any codes in the master? If I wanted to master it myself how would I go about setting up the IRS :cool: C codes?

I've just been working on our bands Cd using Logic audio and its actually beeter than any demo we've had done at a top studio, but there are a few flaws.

What's involved in coding a CD for commercial distribution? I understand there's a lot more going on than just burning music to a CD. :cool:

How have you chosen the engineer to master your recording on past projects? Will you change that proceedure in the future? What are your criteria?
