EXAMPLE HERE
This is an example of a before (the mix as I got it) and after I restored the dynamics.
IT can be done and the bottom file blows away the top brickwall file.
Have a look, I can explain how this is done.

Mastering electronic music
I have had some people ask me to master synth or midi generated music. When I do it for music that has real instruments or the human voice I intuitively know that I'm making it sound better. Electronic music however leaves me confused. Other than removing hiss noise, I don't naturally know what kind of feeling the music's creator is shooting for or what adjustments will make it sound better.

Dimetry, Doug, Bob Green
Nice vibe there with Dimtry, Doug and Bob Green.
Here is OLD AND WISE by Alan Parsons strait off my master. I did this analog to digital in the days and this is what I did tonight on a remaster of the best I could get it. I did it at 24/192 and then SRC'ed (sample rate conversion) it to redbook to burn a CD.
This is how I master.

Level of PreMaster file
IMHO If you work in digital domain as louder your signal the more bits used so quality is higher. Iam using tcFinalizer96K and trying to send signal with 0db peak, and ~ -14 -16db RMS.

EQ settings advise.
Hi,
Please dont laugh, but I need some advice on the following EQ settings. I use Cubase SX and I have a 15 band 2/3 octave, 12db boost or cut EQ plugin which I would like to set up to imitate a hi fi setup for Classical, Rock, Pop, and Dance, so that I can get a little idea what my music will sound like on average, with different hifi setups. The frequencies are as follows:
