i'm producing some music and we release records (12").
Our music is mainly digital.

I'd like to have some information about what is the most
accurate way to finalize my tracks in the studio before to
give the pre-master to the engineer.

I'm considering these two units for compressors (both)

Manley Vari Mu
CRane Song STC-8

both of these brands have a plain version and a mastering version with dedented knobs and better steps,,,

although the Vari MU is only -4 to +4 on master version

As I typed this, I suddenly understood it. I think. I guess now I'm just posting it for people who might have the same questions.

I record all my tracks in Acid Pro or Adobe Audition. After I render the .mp3 file is there a program I can get to master the file or can i do it in the programs I use? I'm sorry this sounds really stupid and you are probably laughing but I am new to this. I am 16 and I have no idea what to do when it comes to mastering. Please help.

I been mastering sound for about 15 years now and send out to cut allot of vinyl. I do about 100 Lacquer Sides a year. With all the money I spent on cutting sides I could of owned a couple Lathes by now including trial and error.

So i've finished my mix and am ready to submit my work to a mastering house to be mastered. What's the best format to send to the mastering house:

1. Broadcast wave 32bit, 96KHz?

whats up fellas i just got my mac and I'm looking to get a good audio editing/mastering program on it but don't really know of any except Pro Tools. any help and or input is alwas welcomed
