Which mic or technique for human beatbox, bass vocal?

Hi guys,

first thanks a lot for the sharing of your passions.

i'll probably work on recording a "only vocals" project.
i'm wondering how to achieve a good take of the guy making drums and bass with his mouth .

this blows a lot of air and plosives onto the diaphragm,so 'I'm thinking about a dynamic.(sm7,d112,m88).

Rock vocal mic recommendation

I want to step up to a mic for about $1000-$2000. No more entry level large condenser mics. I want a keeper. I dont need all the patterns in my project studio, just for vocals. First thoughts are a Neumann TLM 193 or equivalent. I keep getting told just to buy a U87, but I cant seem to justify the expense if I dont have a use all of the mics patterns. Led Zeppelin/Zebra style vocals.

mic for very soft female vocal

At the moment I'm using a RODE NT1000 to record a girl with a very soft voice. Without eq she sounds very boomy and dull. To make her sound better I roll of the bottom and boost around 2k. I'm thinking that I might get better results by buying a mic that fits her better in the first place. Right now I'm using Mackie preamps but I plan to buy a Phoenix Audio DRS-1.
