Microphone into the MI4 interface for Cubase SX/SL
I may sound completely amateur when i ask this question, but. I have the MI4 interface which works great for guitars and MIDI but microphones? On the mixer in Cubase the signal is registered on the slider but you can get no sound out of the mic at all! Could really do with some help!
Thanks,
Dopey

Marshall MCA SP1 Condenser Microphone
I just purchased this microphone and it says that it requires phantom power. First I want to ask would it work if I just plugged it into my computer. And I brought a mixer that has the two red and white inputs on it and I want to hook it up to my computer, does anyone know how to do this?

Mic questions...
Hi I`m currently checking out mics for my new PreSonus firepod.
And I wonder which mics to put my money on.
My overall bugdet on mic`s will be around 1000 dollars.
Cant go much more expensive than that due to taxes and shipping costs.

a decent mic for PC
I'm working on a school project where I need recordings of speech of both males and females. I can't invest more than $50 on a new mic, so I have been looking at Shure PG48-QTR.
My question is if this mic looks any good, and whether it will be a significant improvement over generic computer mics.

OH mics for recording and PA
Hi All
got a budget of $1000-$2000 CDN
Most bands will be recorded in bars and isolating the kit in most cases is a R-PITA so in one sense the tighter the pattern the better
Any and all suggestions more than welcome including isolating the kit DIY style if possible
thanks
Don

RME products DIGI9652 and OCTAMIC-D
I know there has been much said on their products, but I wondering about there new DIGI9652 card and their Octamic-D. How does it compare to others. Is there a better way to get good sounding microphone preamps and 36 channels of recording into a computer? Mind you this is for a mobile rig and is designed to be mixed down later.

TAB/Telefunken/ Neumann V72 or 76
Hi
I'm just wondering what people here think of these. i haven't tried one, and I'm afraid to buy one on spec given that it might be in a terrible condition.
Are they worthy of the hype? I know some people think they're the ultimate pres. I'm also curious about the later SS versions of the 76 for vocals.
Many thanks
John Stafford
