RODE K2 Polar patten
Hi there
I have a K2 problem - i posted this in another topic before but only got one reply (thanks for that though)
While changing the polar pattern on the power supply - the signal goes ' nuts' for a few seconds - it eventually sorts itself out and recording is possible. .ive placed a JPEG of this happening here...

Mic closet being (modestly) upgraded - wee bit of help appr.
Current set:
RODE K2
SP C4 set
2 x KEL HM-1s
tons of SM57s and 58s
D112
Based on this I'd like to get an ATM4033 or a Groove Tubes GT44 to use on guitar cabs, vocals etc. And also for snare, but I don't think thats a good choice even when considering it - I just don't have a semipro snare mic yet.
Organ mic techniques
I know this is a huge area, and that no two instruments are the same, so this is one of those how-long-is-a-piece-of-string topics, but I'm curious to know what people's favourite mic techniques for organ are. I know the AKG 426 sounds amazing, but I've heard that some people have achieved great results with a pair of TLM-103s.

Danish radio and distance mics on choir
I remember reading that the venerable Danish Radio records choirs from an unusually large distance, and the results are wonderful. I'm sort of curious about this.
Anyone know if this is the case, or have any more details about their setup?
Thanks
John

bass drum mic,s - Which one is the best
Looking for the best Bass drum mic. -I have used Audix D6 - The AKG D112 and Sure Beta 52A - But I'm sure there's something a little cleaner out there. Someone said the Electro-Voice Re20 is what you see Bonham using even though I think its more of a vocal mic. Electro-Voice also has a Bass drum mic a N/D868 that I have never tried. Who out there has the real skinny. dirtyktm

Is my mic only mono?
I have a SmAudiopro MC03 tubemic, but I only get mono signal.
Is it because the mic only records mono or do I have to make adjustments in the program?
