Forums
Hi, I have to record a guitar (acoustic in some songs and spanish in others) and i would like to try stereo Micing techniques, which one would you recommend me? (Distance, angle, etc)
I have a couple of Good condenser mic and a couple of 57's, not a good room at all, new strings for both guitar, and a good player.

New RODE Mics
Forums
Has anyone seen or heard about the new RODE mics that are coming out soon, the K2 and the NT2000? I have not heard anything about release dates as of yet, but they sure sound like they will be sweet! Nothing on their web site as of yet, just a small blurb in EQ magazine...

need help with my mic settings
Forums
I am using an SP C1, into a VTB-1, into my Q10
When recording my vocals, i seem to peak very easily
I have tried to correct this by turning the gain down on both the pre and the q10
when i do this, my level becomes too low to hear through the headphones. turning my headphones up just brings my track up extremely loud

2 Mice at Once?
Forums
Hi. I'm having a guest guru-type engineer come over to my studio to help me sort out some tough mixes. I use an unusual track ball mouse - Mouse Traks Professional - which is a hell of a mouse once you get used to it, but takes a while to get used to.
I'm sure my friend has a mouse he prefers and would be a lot quicker using.
Can we use both mice at once?

Micing an upright acoustic piano
Forums
Well, I've had it with digital pianos and Gigapiano, I just can't get a satisfying sound and realistic dynamics from anything I've tried, so I am buying an upright to use in my recordings, but I have no idea how to place the mikes, or what type of mikes (low budget) I need to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Neumann TLM 103 vs RODE NTK - Your Opinions Please
Forums
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought Neumann TLM-103 mic but I am wondering what is your opinion of it and more importantly how it compares to RODE NTK mike. I initially wanted to buy NTK but they didn't have one in stock so I got the Neumann. Should I return it and get NTK (they still don't have it in stock yet!)
Any help will be highly appreciated.
tnx,
chris
