I hate to sound like a newbie guys but I have lost the fade handles on the event I'm trying to manipulate (and all the other recorded events for that matter) but only in this one project. All other projects are as normal and I can fade in/out as I please with the lil drag handles.

All of my tracks are composed of synths, VSTi's, vox and guitar, and always ITB. There is always a harshness to my completed work that I have trouble avoiding. I'm aware of it, always, and almost never boost any of my eq's.

Hey everyone, been having an issue with a on and off 'clicking' noise in Logic Studio that I've never heard before, it sounds almost like its clipping but the thing is there is no signal being recognized in Logic, when trying to record a track the sound will come through the speakers but not be recognized and when stopped there is no playback.

I use a Line 6 Guitarport into my Mac and then use the Line6 Garageband plugin to get my guitar sound. And I really like it...BUT

I have a question for the pros among you about mixing prior to mastering. I've been trying to find an answer and haven't been able to turn anything up. I've been working up the courage to post here for days, because I'm in awe of you guys and I know I'm an idiot by comparison. I hope this isn't too stupid...

I've been given the opportunity to purchase Cubase Essential 4, but I have previously been using SX3. I found a file compatibility chart that says that I cannot open SX3 files in Essential 4, but I also saw somewhere else that said it's possible to open the files, but I'd lose some data.

Can anyone clarify on this?

Hey, I was just wondering what VST's you all use for straight in guitar sounds, especially distorted effects, and what you'd recommend? I have one which is decent, but it lags my computer like nothing else when I put it on multiple guitar tracvks, and it's not ideal for every song I'm doing, it's a bit heavy overdrivey. Thanks for the input!

I have a prblem with analog recording two guitars simultaneously on the left and right channel in Cakewalk.

First i plugged in two guitars directly into the left and right channel of my ESI juli@. Both channels show in the ESI monitor and also on the ESI output monitor output. From this i know my hardware is functioning this far.
