Anyone using Sonar 5 yet? I especially would like to hear from someone that has Sonar 5 with Win x64. I was looking for reviews on this but a quick google search just seems to find a bunch of sites that sell Sonar5 and the only reviews I was able to find were on Cakewalk's website!

hello, i am currently working with a friend and recording her a piano EP. i am using logic pro 7 but even after using a load of gates, there is still unwanted background noise. eg: noise from the sustain pedal, and also a small amount of hiss: which really bothers me.

OK, here's what i got for bass/guitar signals on this recording:

each guitar/bass track gets:

-a Direct line

-a 57 A the speaker of an amp

-a condensor a few feet from the amp.

(not concerning the drums or vocals, each song of this album is strictly 2 guitars and 1 bass)

Does pure titanium dome tweeters sound the same as titanium-laminated dome tweeters? I always woundered about this. If they sound different which tweeters sounds more clear and precise?

Does the JBL Studio Series S26 sound like the Tannoy Reveal 6 Passive Studio Reference Monitors? Since I noticed the specs are really almost about the same only big difference is that the Reveal 6 goes upto 50kHz and the S26 goes upto 20kHz Plus the S26 goes low as 48hz instead of 63hz and the S26 goes 150 watts music power.

I am trying to use my Waves L2 plug to dither in Sound Forge. After I render the file, it still shows as a 24 bit wave. If I dither thru Sound Forge, it will then show 16 bit. Will Sound Forge allow you to use a plugin for dithering instead of theirs?
