Someone just gave me this compressor - from an old radio station.

So I hook it up for fun; to a baby bottle, via a Focusrite red. I'm stunned. It sounds like an 1176 but with less distortion and a sort of round smooth quality.

So these little monitors are out and about now costing around 400 bucks a pair...Im pretty sure thats a great buy, what do the rest of you think>

i just got a teac model 5 in from ups. mixer is in great cosmetic condition. the only thing is that when i flick the power switch, the vus and lights flash for a second and then go dead.
it is not connected to anything as of right now. it is just plugged in to the wall socket.
does this thing need to be grounded to something before it stays on?

Does anyone know what s/pdf means or what it is?

Whenever I launch Pro Tools, there are like 5-6 of the "Plugin Expired" Boxes that pop up (for trial versions of things like DV Toolkit, Broadband Noise Reduction, Vocalign Project, etc) and it will stop loading until either "authorize" or "quit" is pressed. It's so annoying because it puts a damper on the loading process. I'm sure there's a way around this..

After reading great things about it in just about all music forums, I bought a second hand AKG Solidtube and...I don't like it at all.
I thought maybe if I replace the tube with something more "High Standart" it will sound better.
Ever heard of somebody doing that?

Do you think balanced power unit like Equi=Tech 1 R Power Source is necessary in pro studio? How much difference in sound does it make? Any input is highly appreciated.

I am new to this forum i wonder if anyone has the video CD that there is a tutorial for this drum machine. Please email me! Also has any of you the Yamaha MT120 4 track recorder? I've been having problems when track suddenly disappear without a reason (all buttons are in correct position).
