I am a new but budding mixer...about to embark on my bands work - and I have looked tirelessly for AUTO TUNE RTAS...but have only found/got AutoTune DX. I dont know how to get it in working in PRO TOOLS and find myself constantly mixing down and working the file in another programm then importing it back in..

Do you use a leveler for an overall mix?
Is it wise to use a leveler like ART VLA for an entire mix or better use a compressor by Avalon especially after using a preamp like Avalon 2022? (Even though cheap, ART compressor is used by many professional studios).

Studio Projects B1 vs. . Joemeek JM27
I'm about to hit the purchase button for a PreSonus Firebox and since all the dealers are competing with each other, they are all offering free shipping and free stuff.
One is offering a Studio Projects B1 mic (which I have heard good things about on this forum) and the other is offering the Joemeek JM27, which I have never heard anything about.

Panning and Bouncing in Boss br-864
Here is my issue. In mixing 8 tracks down to 2 to put on my PC, I have to bounce them together. For my 2 guitar tracks I want one hard left and the other hard right (it sounds amazing in regular playback), but when bouncing them together, I cannot get that. Is there a way to keep the great panning job in bouncing to keep the stereo sound even if I bounce 8 tracks down to 2?

Classical Reverb Enhancement
This topic is not for the purist. I am wondering which reverb units or plugins users here find useful for enhancement of classical recordings?
I own a TC PowerCore PCI card and have used the classic reverb for sometime. It works fairly well, but sometimes I just cannot find a setting that is satisfying. So this is the reason for my question.

phantom power question
I used to know this. When you plugin a condenser mic to a phantom power source, should the phantom power be off or on so as to avoid damage to the mic? I forgot.
