Logic Express Issue
My issues concerns MIDI playback on Logic Express 7.01. I can actually record MIDI into Logic fine. You can see that the notes are actually recorded. The problem comes in playback. I simply cannot hear the MIDI play when I play the song back. I just know it's something simple that I can't figure out. I am using an M-Audio Ozonic interface with Logic Express.

AT 3035 vs. . . .
Any experience with the Audio-Technica 3035 for sax recording?
How's it compare to AT 2020 or Shure KSM 27 or SM57or Marshall V6?

Is this recording for real?
I have been planning on buying a Firepod for a while now and I found a slightly used one on eBay where the seller was willing to send the song he recorded with the Firepod to whoever wanted to hear it. I asked him and he replied back with the song. I listened to it but I am not sure if he is telling the truth because it sounds really good.

Mackie Controller and Samplitude?
I got a Mackie Control universal to use with Samplitude. So far I have had nothing but problems with it. I bought it to use with my live radio show post production chores but so far it has been more of a problem than I anticipated. It seems to work well with certain parts of Samplitude and not so well with others.

SM 57 new versus old?
I've been using an AKG C 1000 for recording saxophone (tenor, alto and soprano) and not satisfied. In fact I just tried an old cheapie Fostex M7 an it had a cleaner brighter sound! In researching the world of cost effective mics (under $300.00 or so) it seems maybe I should just find a Shure SM57 and go with that?
