I have a paid of Sony C-38 FET mics, and one has gone about 6db noisier than the other. Same shape to the noise floor, just higher level. Anyone have experience with a good person to go over these and make a repair?

Does anyone know if the studio edition comes with any effects? I don't want to spend $599 on the producer edition because I don't need all the surround effects and gadgets, but I don't know if the studio edition has anything because all of the descriptions seem to have a way of beating around the bush of what is and isn't included.

I've been waiting for Macworld and the price to drop on the g5's... but now I'm considering to buy a mac mini, and I like to know people's opinion.

Not sure what the difference is between the AKG C414 B-XLS, B-ULS, TLII and so on. Could someone please enlighten me. I used a C414 in a studio last month and loved how it worked with my vocals.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone here has ever used the API 8200 and 8200a summing mixers. If so, are they at all like the 3124? Is this a good set of pre's for tracking rock drums, just going in XLR and out the send from the insert? Any advice would be helpfull,

Need to record some voice-overs form home and have a limited budget. Dont know much about how to set this up but needs to attach to PC.
Want to record voice-overs with good quality and be able to play about with the sound files in whatever format they have been saved as.

This card boasts some impressive sounding plugins that are modeled on some classic analog kit. It has classic compressors, cambridge EQ, channel strips, "industry standard" reverbs and a guitar processor.
