I would like to get into doing some amateur guitar recording. I have:

* A Pod XT
* A Boss BR532 (digital 4-track)
* CoolEdit PC recording software

At the moment I am playing into the Boss, and then hooking the Boss up to my PC sound cards line-in to transfer the recording into CoolEdit and save as mp3.

Hi guys. I'm in the market for a new pre and I'm really interested in the Amek/Neve CIB. It seems like a good all-in-one solution for my needs. My question is, though, how much should I be looking to spend on one? I know that's a weird question, but I can't seem to find a consistent price and I don't understand why.

Is PT's compatable with Direct X plugs? I assume its not, as I installed some and they didnt appear in plugs menu.

hello i am a newbie on the forum, though i have been reading for a few months now. i think I'm ready for my first question.

Im going crazy over here and want to kill something. I bought th Radium 49 Keyboard from M-Audio and it worked great, I was using it today at work on my mac and brought it home and all of a sudden it stopped working. It worked fine but all of a sudden its not recognizing at all. Its powering up through usb but thats it.

Ok so I need phantom power can you buy a Phantom Power amp with in's and out's or what?, Yeah I know its newb.

I am looking to purchase a new microphone for vocals and overall use. I would be really appreciative of any feedback. Currently i own a Shure KSM 27 and an Audio-Technica 30-35, and am looking for a microphone of a little higher quality. Any sugestions?

Also- any tips on getting a stellar vocal track would be great.
