Hello, this is my first post on the forums, so please forgive any protocol errors I may make. I have been searching recording.org for pretty close to four hours and am yet to find a direct answer to my question.

So, I've got a room full of equiptment that I don't want to die, because I've spent a lot of money on it.

How do I protect them when not in use?

Cover then with bed sheets? What do you think?

Also, what should I do about the extreme humidity changes between the summer and winter (winter, 35% -- summer 75%)?

Been doing some reading on Joemeek s Tube compressors/Eq-----kinda pricey?.
Are they well worth the $$$$$

I am in a band. When we play out I take my 16 channel board. I usally split the microphone signal (using my pre-amp) on the lead vocals. That way I can send 1 channel (1/4" mono) dry to the board from the pre-amp. And the SPDIF out goes to the Eventide DSP 7000 Harmonizer and the XLR out goes to a Lexicon PCM 81.
1 channel---dry
2 channel---left Eventide DSP7000

As a first audio software package, I have been fiddling around with the Adobe Audition 1.5 (it was originally suggested to me as Cool Edit Pro, but apparently has been bought out by Adobe) demo version (fully functional).

I just wanted to tell everyone that my THORAX is here and how awesome it is. It seemed like I could do no wrong with any signal I put through it. The preamp section has all that vmp color and more. It even seems that the clean settings seem cleaner than the vmp altough, that could be my imagination... The eq section is further expanded and has a "canine" setting that I love.
