My Setup - What to do
Forums
Right now i have 3 desktops and a laptop i use for editing movies and recently audio. I have a Mackie DX6 mixer, headphone amp, Shure SM58, and mic boom and I've done recording for a very small band demo track using the 1/8" on my laptop. I was wondering what interface would be good to buy considering my budget for one would be $100-$200.

Stereo bass question a la DAvid Gray style
Forums
DAvid Gray's track "The One I Love" from the album "Life in Slow Motion" has all the low end in stereo, which is against everything I've ever heard recommended for mixing bass. The track was mixed by Andy Bradfield, mastered by Bob Ludwig, and to be honest, I really enjoy the fresh sound of this stereo bass when listening with headphones.

Professional Home Voice Recording
Forums
I would like to make a professional voice recording of myself talking. I am a novice and have had a lot of bad luck trying to succeed in this endeavor. I need to know the following:
What would be a decent unidirectional microphone for voice?
What headset should I choose that is of good quality and wouldn't hurt my ears from wearing it a long time?

Humidifiers
Forums
I realize this isn't a recording question, but I figured that acoustic recording buffs might have a lot of acoustic instruments and if so it is humidifier season here in the Northern hemisphere. I was getting ready to order filters for my old Honeywells and thought for a minute I was going to have to get a new humidifier.

premade contracts for recording?
Forums
I am taking on a project which involves doing live sound and simultaneously making a multi-track recording; all on my gear.
I am happy to offer them a copy of the show at the end, but what about retaining rights? I'd like to retain ownership (publishing?) of the recordings themselves.

Guitar midi pickups
Forums
Does any one know any recommend guitar midi pickups?
I'm trying to find one which is able to pick up notes well even at a fair speed and also be able to single string pickup as well (meaning you can select one or just a few strings that the pickup will turn to midi).
I been looking for one for ages but no one I know has had/used one to give me their opinions on it...
