Some time ago I did a recording of this piece using just a simple stereo setup (RODE NT5 in ORTF, Mackie 1202 VLZ PRO and dbx 386 as a A/D converter. I would appreciate any comments on it.

I have DP and I have a G5 tower that I use now. I'm considering purchasing a laptop for tracking on location. I would be using it along with a MOTU 896HD firewire interface which I already have. I was thinking of getting a second MOTU or maybe a Mackie Onyx 1640 with firewire option to do 16 tracks at 24/96. Has anybody been able to track at 24/96 with an iBook?

I was wondering if its possible to hook up my Roland VS 2480 to record with Adobe Audition 4.0? Is this possible? Or do I have to record with my 2480, and then dump the .wav files into audition?

So Im gonna start buying my Studio now that I got the cash but while looking for G4's...Ive spotted this powerbook. I am limited with SPace so what are the main limitations on a powerbook for a home studio compared to a tower. Im gonna be running Cubase and this will be a dedicated computer only for recording.

What is the average size of a 1 minute (mono) audio file at 24 bit / 96kHz?

just hoping to get down to the basic stuff...i havent heard many studio range monitors cept' fer a pair of 1032 a Genelecs..in school and maybe a JBL here n there..
I'm actually interested in a pair of Mackie's hr 824/624..fits my budget kinda...hey how bout the KRK V8' series..anybody heard how they sound...

Ive been using the Manley Vari Mu for a short time now,and am amazed of the tonal quality.
It was well worth the money spent.
