cool computer on stick
Forums
Hey, I just found this device on-line called a computer-on-a-stick, which is almost what it sounds like, a computer on a stick. I'd like to try it. Does anyone else have any thoughts on how it would work or does anyone own one? I would really love to know more about it.I also saw Bio USB Flash Drive on that site. I saw it at http:// (It works in the USB drive and stores info.)

my 2 channel mixer is too small HELP!
Forums
I have a 2 channel Stanton SK SIX battle mixer. The problem is, it only lets me hook up 2 CD players and 2 turntables. The thing is I want to hook my PC sound card to it so I can listen music from my PC to my mixer and also be able to go from the mixer to the PC sound card to record my mixes.

need help - old Mackie mixer for live recording!
Forums
Hi!
My friend has a karaoke cafe bar. He is using some kind of 16- mono channel live Mackie mixer (old one i guess, i can't remember the model). I have a problem finding the Record Out on that mixer.
On that one, it has Alt-Out 3/4, Bus Insert, and Aux Send something like that (no Tape In/Out). And on every channel it has a small button " Mute/ ALT 3/4".

MOTU 828 mkII & Uad-1 - Which Mobo/CPU to choose?
Forums
Hi
I'm looking to upgrade my PC, partly because I can't seem to get rid of clicks/pops from my MOTU firewire... Tried just about everything.
And of course I'd like a faster machine for my Cubase use...
Anyone using a combination of the 828 and UAD-1, with no problems? and if so - which Mobo/CPU do you use?
Channel splitting
Forums
I'm thinking of buying a splitter for when I do live recording. (Would make things a hell of a lot more predictable.) I'm just wondering where would be the best place to split the signal. I need a multi-channel feed to the soundboard as well as my recorder.

Crackling while in playback
Forums
I am new to recording, have encountered a puzzling problem.
I am using Cool Edit Pro 2.0, and while in the program the .wav file plays as it should, but if i play the same file in another program (winamp) for example its all crackily. Did i just forget to filter somthing. I don't even know where to start looking.
Any help would be appreaciated.
Thanks

Overdrive Noise
Forums
I just purchased a new Fender Blues Deluxe, and I love the FAAAAATTTT bottom end on it. It gets a great crunch on the Normal Channel when you crank it. However, when I crank the overdrive past about 4 or 5, it seems REALLY noisy. Even with the Master Volume turned down around 2 or so. (I mean with the guitar strings muted.)
