Hey ro'ers I am thinking about getting some sample CDs to use with reason's sampler. I am thinking about purchasing some of my samples from soundfactory. Are there any specific sites I can visit to be able to download my sounds instantly? I am looking for mainly hip hop and RnB samples that are about 4 bars in length.

I have myself an ADAT sound card...
but i have no mixer to go with it...
main objective here is to get 8 channels of sweet drumming onto the computer as 8 seperate tracks of sweet drumming instead of bouncing the tracks down to 1 mono unmixable channel :)

problem is .. i can't find any 8 channel mixers with ADAT on them..
(ARSE!)

I have a Tascam tape foutrack and want to put some clips on the internet. I'm thinking the best way to do this is to burn my tape master to a CD, burn the CD to my hard drive and transfer the file from my hard drive to the hosting website.

I am asked to do recording with one single microphone but with 2 different criteria. Essentially, my task is to record the microphone at 8-bit and 11.025kHz for on the fly internet transimission purpose. At the same time, it's also crucial to record through the same microphone at 16-bit and 22.05kHz on the local machine for another purpose.

I am finally going to build my own studio, and quite my retail job.
I am wondering where I could get a Soundcraft Ghost for cheap, but of course good working condition (you get what you pay for right). If anyone has some ideas, please get back to me.

I'm pretty new to all this recording business and I'm having problems recording a decent electric guitar sound.

I'm running a cheapish (£90) Stagg MCO 5BK through a Tascam USB 122 into my Laptop but the recordings sound very distant and flat and lack any real punch. It's especially bad if I'm using distortion. Single clean notes aren't too bad but anything else is nasty.

ist it possibel to triger midi-drumsynths thru an Alesis dm5?
note: example is;
simons electrodrum with triger-pads (jack)
into an Alesis dm5
and then play sounds with midi on an jomox x-base
is this possible?
