Tascam DM3200 Digital Mixer

I have yet to find some basic info regarding the compatibility as a DAW controller of the DM3200 and a Pro Tools Setup. I have a 002 Rack and will eventually move over to the HD systems as money allows. However, is it enough to purchase the FireWire card and plug directly in and with a few configs the DM3200 will play nice with Pro Tools? (Ver. 6.4 Currently). Anyone use this setup?

A Little Feedback Please

MOTU 828mkii and Mbox on the same computer?

I've got a MOTU/Sonar setup on my PC. Is it possible to install an Mbox/PTLE setup on my computer at the same time? Will these systems coexist or will they fight like cats and dogs?

I need to add Pro Tools capabilities, but when possible I still want to use Sonar. If anyone has input on this kind of a setup, please enlighten me!

Thanks,
AG

Monitoring Radio

Hi,
My job requires me to keep track of a few radio stations. Currently, everything is recorded through the video tapes. Then the essential portions are encoded into PC using Cooledit. The sound quality is very bad. Is there any better way to improve the efficency, in tearms of time saving and quality? eg. using a mixer and Pro Tools?

Thank you.

Recording Punk-guitars

Hi,

The guitars in albums like NOFX or Greenday sound beautiful.
My first question is: are they the same when playing alone as when they are blended in the mix?
I mean, when you have a guitar intro and then the bass and other instruments join the song, is it commen to change the guitar EQ?
Or does it stay the same in general?

I'm using this equipment:

What happen, sounds like chipmonks

Hi guys,
I recorded a live show down to 2 track for reference using WAVELAB 4 at 16bits 44.1 khz sampling rate. From mixer output to M-Audio MobilePre to my laptop. I monitor the tracks realtime and it sounded fine. Until I bring it out to do some minor editing in Wavelab, the damn thing sounded like chipmonks. How can I fix this problem now? The file is about 1.3 gigabites.
