I am making a few audio clips and i need to know how to fade into the sound (start quiet, and gradually get louder) in Adobe Audition 1.5. Can anyone help? Or do i need to go to a different forum?

I just bought a G5 dual processor 1.8GHz that came with the 160GB hard drive.

My buddy asked me to build him a sys. So I figured I would start from the dig/midi interface and build computer from there.

I bought him a firepod. Now it's the Processor/MB/HD...

Can anyone recommend a MB and HD that has known compatibility with the firepod? I will buy a firewire PCI interface card...

Someone said this is the case, but personally I have not experienced this knowingly.
The effects might include pops, distortion artifacts etc. and perhaps more likely to occur on large or very large files.

got my new daw built and hardware installed. there seems to be a delay in what i am inputing and what is being monitored. Does any body know how to setup a MOTU 24I/O so I can use two of the outputs as my master outs to send a left and a right to my power amp and event 20/20v2's. Does anybody know why there is the delay or how to fix it. all help and advice would be appreciated.

Problem...

I hear great final mix (analog) but when I record that thru RME converters (Multiface) it doesn't sound that good anymore.

I recorded in 24bit resolution, 44.1.
Details are lost, highs are muddy, bass not tight. Something is wrong. OK, it is not SO wrong (most people probably would not notice it) but I do and it bothers me.

I hope someone here can help me with a completely novice electronic music question. I'm currently producing some techno music tracks. For research purposes, when I listen to techno albums I hear a bunch of tracks that build and develop in, usually, 8 bar segments and build up over the course of a minute or two into a frenzy and then take off in another direction.

What's the best way to master the bass drum track to make it sound different from the bass? And why is the bass i record, which i record directly, sound blurry and muddy and each note is not precise?
