Have you ever...

had a client come in while you're mixing and want what you've got there, even though it's not even close to done?
This happened the other day. I had just come up with a rough mix and was working on it, and the vocalist comes in and says "That's great! burn it!" I tried explaining to him that it wasn't done, and would only get better, but that's what he wanted.

affordable adapter for 5/8" light stands
Forums
 I recently purchased four of these from LSC in Los Angeles and am very happy with both the construction and the price ($14.95 retail.) I am told that Coffey Sound also carries them.
Courtney Goodin (aka Goodsound) makes them and says:

PLEXTOR CD burners for computer, All pretty Good?
Forums
I am looking into getting a new CD burner for my computer b/c some of the masters that I have made don't play on all CD players. I use CD architect to layout my projects. Anyways, Best Buy has a couple PLEXTOR burners for sale. One is only around $100.
Really good isolation headphones
Forums
What's a pair of headphones that has really good isolation and sound quality? Like sit placing a mic right in front of a screaming half-stack and be able to hear the mic placement kind of isolation. Right now I have Sony MDR-V600, Sony MDR-V900 and Sony MDR-7506. Thank you

Tape signal to amp
Forums
What's the crack with re-amping a bass signal for example. I've recorded through a DI and now want to send that signal to an amp. As the signal is obviously now line level will that damage the amp? Or can I still just patch from tape into the amp head?
Thanks

Beta 57 vs SM57
Forums
Does anyone out there use the Beta 57 for guitar cab micing, or anything for that matter?
I own a Beta 58, and I can really hear a HUGE difference between that and a SM58. I was wondering if I would hear that kind of difference in the quality of the 57s. Can the Beta can be used for the same applications with better results?

FA-101
Forums
Hi all,
I was looking at the Edirol FA-101. On the front it has headphone monitoring and a knob for pan between 1-2 out and monitor out. I can understand 1-2 out refers to the first two channels on the output (of which there are a total of 8), but what is monitor? Is it monitoring the inputs 1-2 or a mix of some kind.

Problem...
I hear great final mix (analog) but when I record that thru RME converters (Multiface) it doesn't sound that good anymore.
