if you had a choice of getting a dual 1.8 w/ 1GB to run a UAD flawlessly or passing on the UAD to get a 2.0 w/ 1GB, which would you choose?

Will the CPU and front bus make that great of a difference?

I really love access to those plugins and i hear it runs poorly on the pci-x slots in the 2.0s+

First thanks to all who responded to my first inquiry on the theory of the Decca Tree (previous posting). The information has carried me into the practical configurations of the the tree in use. Now, I would like to know if anyone can show me or direct me to the calculations underlying the determination of the spacings used for the tree's setup.

I posted this in recforums with little feedback:

When I purchased the 800, everybody said it was hands down a better clock. So I have the 800 as master, with a cable to the
Lucid Genx6 which distributes to everything else in the studio.

If i don't own an Aural Exciter, or can't run the plugin since I'm on an LE system.

Is there any other plugs or ways out there to bring out the natural harmonics and clarity in tracks like the Exciter does?

It would be nice if this topic could become permanent.

If we could all list what we've bought recently at Guitar Center (or any other major chain) and for how much then we could be saving each other thousands of dollars!

For example, I just bought an Audix i5 for $99 USD out the door but just read that somebody else picked up one for $70 USD!

Last weekend I recorded a rock band all at once, including vocals in the same room. The whole session took 8 hours, including mixing and some "mastering" [slamming the masterbus :p].
Overall it sounded pretty solid, and big... maybe a little too much reverb [from bleeding, not digital], but just fine...

I know that Decca Trees have been talked to death on this forum and maybe this has been talked about allready.
