I no that a spaced pair of cardiod mics is not what you want for your mains but it you had to do it that way where would be the best placement for mics for a small string orchestra maybe 40 members. I would normally place my mains about 10-12 feet up, two feet in back of conductor. Mics at 35 degree angle down and out. This is very bad sounding to bright and harsh.

I am have been using a pair of Event Electronics TR6 for almost a year now without any issues.

Lately it seems that they are never at the same volume no matter how carefully I adjust them. Even when they are both cranked at full volume and send something panned down the middle the left speaker is way louder.

I'm working on 24/96 project and I have to import some 24/44.1 and 16/44.1 samples inside, for further eff./mixing. I guess it won't be a problem to do (convert all on 24/96) using audio editor, but I'm curious/suspicious about the side effects of that up/down SRC and bit rate, since final destination of project would be 16/44.1. All things inside the box.

kay when i built my PC I thought I was building a awsome DAW now Im still working with onboard sound that maybe the problem.but things seem slow/glitchy not just in production apps but in general.

This decision would be based on SNR, internal computer noise isuues, A/D D/A converters (new 192's seem overkill and unproven), ins & outs, preamps , overall value/reliability, solid construction, and whatever else you all would care to add. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

hi guys, i'm building a high-endDAW and am looking for some varied pres to cover me for a wide range of sounds. so far i'm considering the Avalon ad2022, the chandler tg2, a couple of v72s and possibly something by neve. i'm curious about my other options though...what would you guys recomend?

Hey I'm new here and currently buliding a home studio for professinal productions and recordings Im really having a hardtime finding a audio interface I was going to get the new audiophile 192 then came across the Emu 1820m which most of the reviews were great and it had a lot of features and what not but there are WAY too many problems with this card even speculation that they are manufacturin
